Excellent Build Quality

This is my first 'custom' mechanical keyboard, and I'm delighted. I've used Corsair keyboards for years, but decided it was time for an upgrade after I accidentally spilled a soda on my last one and it shorted out. The Keychron V6 is an absolute delight to type on. I went with the Gateron KS-8 Browns for my switches, and I love the feel of the whole package. The keyboard is nice and weighty, with good pads on the bottom that mean it doesn't move around accidentally on your desk.

And the 'thok' from the spacebar is perfection. Love it so much.

It is perfect, it has everything you could ask for

It is my third keychron keyboard, and definitely the V6 is the best by far.
South facing leds it is a success, because they look so much better. I love RGB
The OSA keycaps are wonderful, and the mix of the OSA keycaps with the Keychron pro brown switches is incredible.
I don't think I could use another keyboard anymore.

Extremely good build quality

Received this keyboard as a replacement for my aging, decade old G710+, can't say I'd have it any other way.

Keyboard is nice and heavy, has some really good sound to it, if you care about that kinda thing.

Got mine prebuilt with Keychron K Pro reds (linears), they have a really nice, silky smooth feel to them.

Absolutely in love with the programmable Media keys, which are kind of rare on hot swappable keyboards.

The South facing LEDs really make the colours pop on this thing, even on 10$ pudding keycaps, if you like bright, colourful RGB on your stuff. You can program that, along with macros and custom keybinds using VIA, though I had some issues with the firmware getting it set up initially, had to load the firmware with V2 definitions enabled, then plug it back in before it would pick it up. Otherwise, I've had zero issues with it, amazing keyboard if you're looking for a 5 pin hot swappable with lots of customizability.

High quality but some downsides

This is my second Keychrone keyboard, got the K3 first.

Overall I really like this one, build quality is nice, typing feels great, works with VIA (you need to unselect v3 definitions!)

Downsides for me:

South facing leds blind you in the dark if you do not turn down the brightness and the keycaps are not transparent, so the keys themselves are not lit, only the background. There is no led indicator whether the numpad is on or not (this could be fixed with custom firmware using the background leds). Not much space for the knob if you have fat fingers.

I would also strongly recommend to buy the armrest with it, the keyboard is really tall at the bottom and it hurts if you rest your wrist on it.

But overall for the price its a very decent keyboard and the open source software as well as VIA makes this a steal.

Good, but south facing leds are dumb.

I really like everything about the keyboard(I have the brown knob version). But I was surprised how much I loath south facing leds.
I do not use leds to have a rainbow on my desk. I use them to illuminate the letters on my keys in a dolch pattern, and while technically you could do this (with side lit keys), I can't get over the fact that the leds are pointed straight into my eyeballs.

South facing leds put the light everywhere except where you want it, they are dumb, and marketed towards people who want to spend $200 on overpriced cherry profile keycap sets.

OSA Profile Double-Shot PBT Keycaps

These double-shot PBT keycaps have a similar height to the OEM profile and has an SA-like shape. We named it the OSA (OEM spherical angled) keycap. The PBT keycaps will provide excellent oil resistance, enhance the type feel, and prevent the legends from fading out.

Program V6 with QMK & VIA

With full QMK and VIA support, you can easily program and remap each key on the keyboard. The open-source firmware means endless possibilities for keyboard layouts, shortcuts, backlight effects, and more.

Programmable Knob

Designed to enhance your creative workflow, the aluminum rotary encoder allows you to easily customize your favorite keys and macros on the knob through the VIA software.

Rotary encoder function of Keychron V6

You can easily customize the V6's knob to your desired key or macro commands such as: zooming in/out, adjusting screen brightness, brush size, volume, selecting video clips or photos, or backlight hue.

Hot-swappable

The hot-swappable sockets are mounted on the PCB, so you can install or change the switches without soldering. The PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin MX mechanical switches.

South-facing RGB LED Lights

The south-facing RGB LED is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle with the premium non-shine-through PBT keycaps installed. The south-facing RGB is also free from interference when the users install OEM or Cherry-profile alternative keycaps on the keyboard.

Pre-lubed Keychron K Pro Switch

By optimizing the switch mold, the K Pro switch wobbles less than a standard mechanical switch and feels smoother on each hit. Plus, the factory pre-lubed process on all the K Pro switches (exclude the clicky ones), no doubt this will ensure the best smoothness at your fingertips when typing.
