Software Engineer, Best Keyboard ever!

As a Software Engineer, I've been in search of the best keyboard, and I hoped to find an ergo Mechanical as I love my mechanical Keyboards. I bought a full size keyboard from Keychron with Gateron switches and I loved it but when I saw the Alice keeb, I knew I had to have one. I've tried other ergo solutions like the Kinesis and was just still not what I was looking for. I really wanted a mechanical keyboard that was built well with a similar split profile to the Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard. My wife got me this Keychron Q10 Alice for Christmas with Gateron Brown switches and it is the best keyboard I have ever owned, hands-down. I am in love with this keyboard!

Professional writer, professional keyboard!

So I have developed wrist and forearm pains from bad posture on my previous keyboard, it got quite bad... I shopped around for alice style keyboards to see if it would work or not and help me keep doing my job. Glad to say that this alice layout helps a lot, not fully alleviating discomfort, but it allowed the centre channel of my wrist to recover (though my radial bone still hurts a bit).

The quality of the keyboard itself is indisputable. Heavy feel, sturdy build, good gasket performance and the original keycaps felt pretty good. These Gatereon reds are fairly nice too, and I swapped the keycaps out for Grey and Blue PBT from Keychron. They feel great and have a nice semi clacky sound to it with the PBT aftermarket set.

VIA is nice and easy to use but there are a couple issues that the profile hasn't been added to their library yet.

Pretty good!

I have a stock Logitech mechanical keyboard, a GMMK 2 96%, and this Q10. I am very happy with the Q10. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. I really like the way it feels to type on the gasket mount, even though I'm not a forceful typer. I have installed every piece of the upgraded foam kit, lubed TX stabilizers, lubed tactile switches, and have tried a set of Keychron's keycaps and also a set of Akko SA profile keycaps. Both keycaps would ping very noticeably round the right Enter and Shift keys. Not every time, but sometimes. I eventually figured out that the top of the case was too close to the key cap in that area and an off-center press of right Shift or Enter would cause the ping. I tried sanding the edges of the offending keycaps, but that wasn't enough. I had to take a file to the top of the case, reducing the edge that is closest to the right Shift key. I estimate that I removed about half a millimeter on both the bottom and right faces before the ping went away. Now about 1% of the time I hear the same ping coming from around the Tab key. It's too infrequent for me to narrow it down to a specific location so I haven't filed anything down over there yet. To my surprise, I can't even tell that I've filed the top of the case. I should never have sanded the keycaps, because I can now see the the sanded area. If you have the same ping problem, don't hesitate to file the inside faces of the top of the case.

I would encourage Keychron to widen the space between the keycaps and the top of the case as much as 1 millimeter. It solves a major ping annoyance and does not make the keyboard look any worse.

I love typing on my Q10! It sounds and feels great. Not perfect, but great.

Slightly disappointed.

I will say this first and foremost. I've bought 3 Q1's, a Q2, and a Q8. All of which I love. A lot.

Which brought me to the Q10. After receiving this board, I noticed that it was beautiful. Everything was right. Even to the custom tape mod on the back. So many changes and improvements since the original Q1.
I'm a person that tends to mod my boards, but sadly, I've tried everything with the q10. It sounds so hollow and pingy no matter what I try. I've tried different foams, keycaps, switches, force breaks, etc. And nothing has gotten me past the case ping. I have no idea what's wrong. It's so hollow...

That said, I'm still giving it 4 stars. I still think this brand and their boards are the best. They changed everything when it comes to keebs and my lineup is completely different because of them. Thank you guys.

Double Gasket Design

The Double Gasket Design is a new innovative structure in the industry. In addition to the gaskets on the plates, we added silicone pads between the top and bottom cases to significantly reduce the sound resonance between the metals and reduce the noise of the impacted metals. This design allows the keyboard to maintain the flexibility of the gasket structure and improves the overall typing sound.

These double-shot PBT keycaps have a similar height to the OEM profile and has an SA-like shape. We named it the OSA (OEM spherical angled) keycap. The PBT keycaps will provide excellent oil resistance, enhance the type feel, and prevent the legends from fading out.
