Really solid keyboard, but had issues with the caps

The Q6 is a really solid keyboard with a good feel and sound. The weight may be an issue for some if you plan on constantly moving the keyboard around, but if it's staying in one place it's not going anywhere. I love this keyboard, however after a few months of owning it the key cap for the enter key snapped off. One of the connectors for the cap to the switch broke.
I would still highly recommend this keyboard to anyone who wants a solid metal keyboard that is fully customizable.

Very happy with the Q6, I was looking for a good full-size mechanical keyboard with hot-swap switches and metal frame and this fits the bill perfectly. The typing experience is great, soft and pleasant, with a satisfying thock. As a programmer the existence of additional layers and full layout with macro keys is welcome, too.

Took a chance and it is very nice.

I wanted to buy a V6 for my first mechanical keyboard for my gaming set up but they all were sold out. But I happened to notice the Q6s were still in stock but were 100 dollars more due to the metal frame and I bought it to see how it was. It is by far the nicest keyboard I've ever had the build is solid the keys are linear so they're not as loud and the blue is so nice.

If I end up getting into the hobby I will most likely buy from here again 10/10.

Really great

I'm a huge fan of the full sized boards, and this has to be one of my favorites. I got the barebone version in black without the knob. I really like the sound I get out of it. It's solid and well dampened. The gasket mount really makes for a nice and comfortable typing experience, and the fit and finish is very nice. Everything lines up nicely, and even the switch on the back is a solid piece of metal. I'm also really glad for the QMK/VIA support because it makes it so much more useful. I never really cared for the backlighting because I never really look at the keyboard when I'm typing and my keycaps don't have any letters on them, but the backlighting on this board is really nice and bright. I ended up using some translucent PBT keycaps to diffuse the lighting, and I often use it as a mood lamp. When I first got it, there were only around 13 backlight effects, but after the last firmware update, there are now 22 backlight effects. Because of the way this board is built, my favorite switches feel and sound totally different to how they usually sound, but I like it. It feels nice, and I can type without people commenting on how loud it is. I'm very happy with the south facing switches because it helps with keycap compatibility. I'm using Cherry profile keycaps, and they work well on this board. The backlighting also looks nice with the south facing switches because it faces toward you and not away from you. Most of my keyboards are south facing, even my really old boards with no backlighting, and it's nice to be able to use my favorite keycaps without worrying about compatibility problems.

High quality

I am very pleased with the Q6, there are not many full sized boards out there for people who need or want a 10 key attached, but I don't feel like I settled with the Q6. It is solid, and when I say solid I mean solid. This thing weighs about 6 lbs. You could beat an intruder with it if necessary. I have had no quality control issues at all with my board and it is easy to disassemble as well if you want to change parts or do mods. My only complaint is with the Gateron pro browns, they have very little to no tactile feedback, they feel pretty much like a linear switch. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to buy this board again.

A Refined Piece of Metal Art

The entire metal body is crafted with 6063 aluminum that is processed through CNC machined, polished, anodized, sandblasted, and undergoes 24 more manufacturing stages to make this solid metal piece of art that is the Q6.

All-around customizable keyboard

To build a fully customizable keyboard, we designed every component easily assembled. Therefore, you can customize and adjust each component you want.

Double Gasket Design

The Double Gasket Design is a new innovative structure in the industry. In addition to the gaskets on the plates, we added silicone pads between the top and bottom cases to significantly reduce the sound resonance between the metals and reduce the noise of the impacted metals. This design allows the keyboard to maintain the flexibility of the gasket structure and improves the overall typing sound.

An Epic Core Inside The Keyboard

A powerful ultra-low-power ARM architecture MCU equipped with 128K Flash will provide more flexibility for developers. The polling rate is 1000 Hz right out of the box, which makes the latency hardly noticeable even in competitive games.

OSA Profile Double-shot PBT Keycaps

For the new double-shot PBT keycaps, we built a new profile. It has a similar height to the OEM profile and has an SA-like shape. We named it the OSA (OEM spherical angled) keycap. The PBT keycaps will provide excellent oil resistance, enhance the type feel, and prevent the legends from fading out.

Switch layouts between macOS & Windows

Built with the Mac users’ experience in mind while still retaining compatibility for Windows devices, the Keychron Q6 comes with a system toggle and an additional set of customized keycaps for both Windows and macOS systems. You can now save two different layouts on the keyboard, one for each system.

Programmable Knob

Designed to enhance your creative workflow, the premium rotary encoder allows you to easily customize your favorite keys and macros on the knob through the VIA software.

Rotary encoder function of Keychron Q3 80% TKL Custom Mechanical Keyboard

You can easily customize the Q6's knob to your desired key or macro commands such as: zooming in/out, adjusting screen brightness, brush size, volume, selecting video clips or photos, or backlight hue.

Using the knob as "zoom in/out"

Program Q6 with QMK & VIA

With full QMK and VIA support, you can easily program and remap each key on the keyboard. The open-source firmware means endless possibilities for keyboard layouts, shortcuts, backlight effects, even the knob, and more.

Hot-swappable

The hot-swappable sockets are mounted on the PCB, so you can install or change the switches without soldering. The PCB supports both 3 pin and 5 pin MX mechanical switches.

South-facing RGB LED Lights

The south-facing RGB LED is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist’s angle with the premium non-shine-through PBT keycaps installed. The south-facing RGB is also free from interference when the users install OEM or Cherry-profile alternative keycaps on the keyboard.

Note: The Q6's top case has sharper corners to make it much more compatible with third-party keycaps.
