Best keyboard I've ever owned!

I've had multiple gaming keyboards from the likes of Corsair(K70, K95 and platinum, Strafe and Mk2) and Logitech (G915), at the time they felt like top notch products, but certain deficiencies (RGB always ended up malfunctioning on all my Corsair KBs, not to mention they were somewhat bulky and G915's build and switch quality was really bad for such a premium product). This is my first time using a custom solution from a smaller company and where do I even start, the feel of the keyboard, even when made of plastic, is just superior, its sturdy and heavy, little to no rattle on most keys when compared to the G915, RGB is so bright and effect transitions are smooth, keystrokes are consistent and smooth, sound is so satisfying, the deeper tone compared to the more rattly clicks on the other keyboards I had before and it's only $84 and stock! The cheapest gaming keyboard I had was the Strafe at like $120+ and this V2 is just miles ahead in every aspect, not to mention customizable, I'm excited to try a bunch of different switches, mods and keycaps.
Great product, great price, totally recomend to give a custom board a shot before buying another gaming board.

Great Board, Great Price

I bought the Barebone Knob | Carbon Black and this board is awesome. Paired with some Gateron Milky Yellow Pro switches and a nice, yet affordable, PBT keycap set this keyboard sounds so nice and it feels so much more luxurious than my previous keyboards (this was the first custom). The plastic feels substantial and the knob really precious and sturdy. You also have 3 different heights you can choose from which is pretty convenient.

No board is perfect even if it earns a more than deserved 5-stars like this one.
- My first criticism is the spacebar stabilizer being a bit scratchy although I'm sure you can fix that with a bit of lube.
- This isn't much of a complaint regarding Keychron but more towards Via. I'm a bit disappointed with the fact that you can't choose individual colors for each key using VIA.
- It took more than expected for the keyboard to arrive. I might blame YunExpress a little bit more but still.
- Finally, the switch to switch (sorry for the confusion) between Windows and Mac, which is located next to the USB-C, feels pretty cheap and raddles quite a bit. This is probably my biggest complaint regarding the product itself. That being said the fact that this is the biggest problem yet I don't even see or touch that switch very often just speaks to how much I like this board, I can't recommend it enough.

Awesome build quality

I got the keychron Q3 with red switches and I love this keyboard.

The build quality is really good. The case is heavy so it doesn't shift. Also, the keys are super responsive which is nice overall but especially if you don't have a lot of strength in your hands. The keycaps are easily removed with they included keycap puller. The same goes for the switches. I don't think you can easily break the switches bit if you do: They can be easily replaced. Another thing that amazes me is the quality of the included USB-C cable. It has a premium finish and feels sturdy. You don't typically see this with keyboards. It's a nice touch.

I haven't yet tried to customize the key mappings but the VIA tool (that you can launch from your browser looks really easy to use for customizing the key mappings). If you're using complicated key combinations in vim or vscode I can recommend taking a look at the VIA tool.

The one downside I think is that the keyboard has 4 layers for different key mappings, but you can only use 2 at a time because it can switch between a mac and a windows layout. Maybe you can use all 4 through QMK, but I haven't tried that yet. I would love to be able to do that.

All in all, a really well made keyboard with a ton of options for customization.

Best Keyboard ever

I had a cheap mechanical Keyboard with blue switches for about 1-2 years it was good at first then the stabilizers where getting a little shake and the switch was getting old so i knew i should get a new keyboard i watch a couple of reviews on the keychron v2 with brown switches and it sounded amazing. Thank you Hipyo Tech. so, if you ask me if you should spend 109$ on it I say yes, It is amazing Keyboard. Thank you Keychron
